Two first 50KM flights on the same dayYesterday was a milestone for two of our pre-XCP members as they broke free from local soaring and achieved their first 50km solo flights!Despite promising skies to the south, both pilots faced challenges getting away from Drury. Kevin, flying the PW-5, needed a relight, while Allen, in the DG-303, thought he might be back on the ground quickly also, but managed to get away.Once south of the Bombay Hills, they followed the convergence and ultimately reached their chosen turnpoints. Allen, having pre-planned a solo out-landing, successfully landed in a paddock. Kevin, however, opted to try (and succeeded) returning to Drury, saving his required out-landing for another day.Well done to both pilots on this fantastic achievement! ... See MoreSee Less
